Complaint

Here is information directed to business sellers about the terms and conditions that apply when a buyer wants to exercise his right of complaint. This does not apply to purchases between private individuals.

Right of complaint
In the case of complaints, the Consumer Purchase Act applies, which means that the buyer has the same right to complain as if the goods were bought in a regular store. The buyer has right to claim and should claim the goods within 2 months after the fault was discovered.

Remedial action

If the product is incorrect, it is your responsibility as the seller to remedy this. In cases where the goods are returned to the seller, it is the seller who pays the return shipping. Be sure to discuss the options with the buyer before.

For example, to solve the situation, you can:

  • Correct the error on the item
  • Send a new, error-free item to the buyer
  • Make a deduction on the price
  • Give the buyer compensation for repair
  • Cancel the purchase and give back the money
