Objects that may offend

It is allowed to sell items that do not offend Trader Pakistan. Therefore, there are restrictions on selling items that glorify violence, objects that discriminate or attack people because of gender, origin, nationality, skin color, language, belief, sexual orientation, religious or political beliefs.

Permitted Items

  • Authentic objects linked to the Second World War
  • Stamps, letters, postcards, envelopes and currencies from World War II

Allowed With Restrictions

  • Documentary films about war or documentary photographs portraying war victims or victims of violence, as long as they do not otherwise contradict Trader’s basic values

Unauthorized Items

  • Newly produced objects (i.e., objects that have no historical value) that can be classified as hot against people
  • Newly produced National Socialist objects and other newly produced extremist objects
  • Music or movies that promote hatred and racism
  • Uniforms or personal belongings from concentration camp prisoners
  • All kinds of flags, pennants, armbands and flags with Nazi symbols, although authentic
  • Trader Pakistan does not allow ads with items that inappropriately portray people groups

Reason For The Rule

Trader’s members are a diverse group of users with varying backgrounds and beliefs. It is therefore easy to understand that there are always certain items that can be perceived as offensive to some users. However, diversity among our members is one of Trader’s strongest aspects and we believe it is important to respect it.

As a result, we usually allow the sale of “practically everything on earth”, even objects that can be perceived as offensive. However, ads that advocate hatred, violence, racism or religious intolerance (or organizations that have such opinions) have nothing on Trader to do.

More information:

With the support of this policy, we are free to remove an advertisement when the object or description graphically portrays violence or victims and lacks concrete social, artistic or political value.
We allow some authentic collector’s items with links to the Second World War, but forbid others, and this applies in particular to items that can be considered disrespectful to victims or that lack a historical value or a collector’s value.
