Free Choice of Items
It should be clear what items are sold in an advertisement. The object needs to be predetermined and any color and size should be specified.
Permitted Items
- To sell a ring in a specific model where the seller offers size adjustment
- To sell a white dress in size M that is modified according to the buyer’s dimensions
- To sell a nameplate where the seller offers inscription of the buyer’s name
Unauthorized Items
- To sell a pair of shoes where the buyer can choose the size after the purchase is made
- To sell a mobile shell where the buyer can choose color after the purchase is made
- Having individual prices on several different items included in the same ad
Reason For The Rule
Ads where the buyer is given the opportunity to choose among different products after the purchase is completed often lead to boring buying experiences as the buyer does not have the exact terms for the ad. Since the item is not predetermined, it is difficult for Trader Pakistan to help with any problems in buying or selling.

It is permissible to sell items that after the purchase are modified based on the buyer’s wishes as long as the item relates to a specific color, size and / or model. Customizing, modifying or adding to the item should then be included in the price.
