Return Policy

Here is information directed to business sellers about the conditions that apply when a buyer wants to exercise his right of withdrawal. This does not apply to purchases between private individuals.

14 days right of withdrawal

As a vendor at Trader Pakistan, you are obliged to offer and inform your buyers 14 days right of withdrawal irrespective of order value, in accordance with the law on distance contracts and agreements outside business premises. The right of withdrawal begins to apply when you and the buyer are included in the purchase agreement. The buyer has a 14 day cancellation period from the day after he has received the goods. The buyer has the right to undo the purchase, return the item and get the money back without delay. As a business seller, you need to inform the buyer before the purchase about who is responsible for the cost of any return shipping. If this does not happen before the purchase is made, you as a seller are responsible for the cost of a return.

Information about the right of withdrawal before purchase

Prior to the purchase, you as a seller are obliged to inform the buyer about the right of withdrawal and how the buyer should go about undoing the purchase if applicable.

Information about the right of withdrawal after purchase

After the purchase has been completed, you are obliged to inform the buyer again of the right of withdrawal. One tip is to enter the information in the email that Trader sends out to the buyer after the ad is completed. You can easily do this via My Trader Account – Customize winning emails.

If you have not informed the buyer about the right of withdrawal both before and after the purchase, the cancellation period will be extended and you as the seller will be responsible for the shipping cost upon return of the goods.

When the right of withdrawal does not apply

There are certain cases where the right of withdrawal does not apply. This may, for example, apply to the sale of goods such as precious metals, food, newspaper subscriptions and certain goods where the buyer has broken the seal.
